Burlington, Ont. - The awards keep coming for the Ravens women's basketball team. At a ceremony Wednesday night the team was awarded the OUA's Women's Team of the Year Award. The OUA Honour Award is the second for the program that also claimed the title in 2018.
The award caps off a fantastic season for the Ravens who conquered the OUA winning their second Critelli Cup in program history in March before capturing the U SPORTS championship later that month.
In only the second season of play under head coach Dani Sinclair, the Ravens finished the regular season in second place before beating the Queen's Gaels on their home court in the championship. A week later, the Ravens repeated the feat beating the Gaels again to capture the programs second Bronze Baby Trophy as U SPORTS champions.
Carleton Athletics also took home its first CHAMP Award during the ceremony. Named Best Promotional Video 'What's A Gee-Gee?', a collaboration between Carleton's varsity and recreation programs was celebrated for its success in helping to promote the Capital Hoops Classic last February.
