The Carleton University Football’s Coach Apprenticeship Program for Women is designed to identify and support two women, non-binary, or Two Spirit women who have completed at least one year of university or college education and/or have recently graduated and who demonstrate the desire for coaching. This program will provide them with opportunities to participate in all the coaching experiences in the Carleton University tackle football program.
The Football Coach Apprenticeship Program for Women will be structured to meet the needs of each coach selected for the program and to enable an experience that will benefit the apprentice, the mentor, and the football program. This program is aimed at targeting potential coaches and developing new coaches to create opportunities for them in university football and athletics. The program is based on two (2) apprentice coaches matching a mentor football coach from the Carleton University football coaching staff.
The program will last between August 8th, 2023, and November 30th, 2023.
