TORONTO - Carleton Ravens point guards Kali Pocrnic and Aiden Warnholtz have been invited to the Canada Basketball training camps ahead of the 2023 GLOBL JAM.
GLOBL JAM FIVES – a 5-on-5 Under-23 basketball tournament featuring women’s and men’s teams from around the world. – will take to the court at Toronto’s Mattamy Athletic Centre and broadcast nationally across Sportsnet platform.
Pocrnic is among four U SPORTS players as part of the 17-player list along with Regina’s Jade Belmore, Cape Breton’s Kiyara Letlow, Alberta’s Claire Signatovich. Pocrinicwon both the OUA Championship and U SPORTS National Championship with the Ravens women’s basketball team this past season.
Aiden Warnholtz is attending the men's camp among five U SPORTS players named to Canada’s training camp roster, joining U of T’s Callum Baker, Alberta’s Adam Paige, TMU’s Aaron Rhooms and Windsor's Thomas Kennedy. Warnholtz was named U SPORTS Final 8 MVP and First Team All-Canadian after leading the Ravens men’s basketball team to their 17th national championship in program history.
Both national teams kick off the tournament on July 12th.
