Ravens Golf to Host Two-Day TryoutThe Carleton University varsity golf team will be conducting an open tryout on September 1 and 3, 2023 at the Greensmere Golf & Country Club. Team members must be full-time Carleton University students during the 2023-24 academic year.

Dates: Friday, September 1 & Sunday, September 3, 2023

Venue: Greensmere Golf & Country Club

First Tee Time: 12:00 PM

Location: 1717 Bear Hill Road, Carp, On K0A 1L0

Format: 36-hole total score stroke play event

Cost: $150 + HST payable by debit or credit card during registration

Deadline: The deadline to register is Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

About the Team

Men’s travel squad comprises 5 players of which 2 spots are available

Women’s travel squad comprises 4 players

Both the men’s and women’s teams may carry up to 2 more golfers, in case of injuries or other circumstances

Tournament play will entail at least 4 invitational events and the OUA championship while the team also practices every week and most weekends from the beginning of September to the middle of October; we also have off-season activities

About the Competition:

To be competitive in Ontario University Athletics (OUA), men’s travel squad players need to be able to shoot 75 or better in competition during fall weather conditions

Similarly, women’s travel squad players need to be able to shoot 80 or better
