TORONTO - A dream week of Aiden Warnholtz continues in Toronto on Wednesday, as he'll take to the court as a member of Team Canada at GLOBL JAM. A world-class international basketball showcase, the GLOBL JAM FIVES tournament features Canada's U23 team facing off against Team Africa, Team USA - as represented by the University of Kentucky, and Germany.
Warnholtz was named to the 12-man roster just days after signing a professional contract with the Fraport Skyliners of the German Pro A league. In Germany, Warnholtz will play alongside STFX forward David Muenkat, a full-circle moment that will wrap up an incredible year for Warnholtz.
After being named the Nike Top Performer in the 2022 U SPORTS national championship game, Warnholtz broke out in a big way in 2022-23 setting Ravens records for assists and minutes played.
It was evident early into the 2022 Can-Am schedule that Warnholtz was ready to break out, when he put his ball handling on display, crossing up a Northeastern defender before finding Connor Vreeken open from clean look at three.
Warnholtz would go on to play a key role in the Ravens run to their 17th national championship, hitting a clutch three late in the final to send the game to overtime.
As Warnholtz prepares to take on the world, his Ravens will be doing the same as they prepare to face Canisius in the first game of the 2023 Can-Am Shootout on Sunday, July 30.
