OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens improved to 1-2 on the season on Saturday with a convincing 52-0 victory over the York Lions.
After the Ravens opened the scoring with a safety, Tristan Lefebvre (Calgary, Alta.) found Hunter Brown (Brampton, Ont.) for the Ravens first major of the afternoon. By the end of the opening quarter, the Ravens led 12-0.
Brown would open the second quarter with his second touchdown of the game before Othman Brahm (Montreal, Que.) would explode for an 80-yard punt return touchdown. The Ravens would add two more touchdowns before the half and lead 39-0 midway through the contest.
Rotating quarterbacks in the third quarter, Carleton was held to a single field goal, the second of three on the day for Brandon Forcier (L'Ange Gardian, Que.).
In the fourth quarter, Tristan Rinaldis (Boucherville, Que.) would connect with Frederick Hachey (Laval, Que.) for a 37-yard touchdown to finish off the afternoon.
The Ravens now return home to host the UofT Varsity Blues on Saturday, September 23. The game is part of Carleton University's annual Throwback Week.
