It's a footy fest at TAAG Park this weekend as the Carleton Ravens host a pair of OUA soccer doubleheaders. With football and rugby on the road, all eyes turn to the beautiful game as Nipissing and Laurentian come to town.
The only home action of the weekend goes to the women's and men's soccer teams as they host Nipissing on Saturday and Laurentian on Sunday as part of Carleton's Athletics Week celebrations.
The Ravens women's team are 1-1 on the season but will look to bounce back from a tough road loss against Queen's when they host Nipissing Saturday. The Lakers are currently the number ten team in U SPORTS and enter the weekend with a 2-0-1 record. After a pair of early season wins against TMU, the Lakers drew Toronto in their last match.
On the men's side, the 2-2 Lakers sit three points behind Carleton who are coming off a pair of victories over the Gaels.
Action for both doubleheaders starts at noon with the women's games, followed by the men kicking off at 2:30 PM.

Despite two strong showings the Ravens football team look to finally find the win column when they travel to York on Saturday afternoon. Strong showings have led the Ravens from Tristan Lefebvre and wide receiver Kaseem Ferdinand, while the defence has given their two top ten opponents fits thus far.

The undefeated women's rugby team are on the road Sunday night when they face their rivals from Concordia. After meeting in the RSEQ bronze medal game last season the two teams are ready to clash once again. Ravens forward Brianna Messer has been on a roll thus far, having scored five tries in the opening two games. Athlete of the Week Vanessa Chiappetta had 20 points in last week's 57-0 win over McGill.
