OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens men's soccer team earned their third straight win with a convincing 4-1 victory over the Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon.
After a thrilling 90th-minute win on Friday night, the Carleton Ravens wasted little time jumping out to a lead on Sunday scoring 17 minutes into the action. After moving the ball beautifully through the Gaels defence, Mohamed Bouzidi finished a pass from Raphael Garcia for the early lead.
The Ravens led 2-1 at the half before Matthew Ciavarro scored early in the second half to cut the lead in half. The Queen's rebound was short-lived as Luca Piccioli scored his second set piece of the match to give the Ravens back their two-goal lead. Before the 90 was complete, Devyn Viegas finished another great transition by placing a shot to the lower left corner past Manuel Diribe to solidify the 4-1 victory.
The Ravens stay home next weekend for an Athletics Week doubleheader. Catch the Ravens versus Nipissing on Saturday and Laurentian on Sunday.
