OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens men's soccer team improved to a perfect 4-0-0 on Saturday afternoon with an impressive 4-0 win over the Nipissing Lakers.
Luca Piccioli continued his strong play scoring his league-leading third game-winning goal of the season off a set piece just 11 minutes into the game to put the Ravens ahead and they never looked back.
Before the first half was done, Kevin Kaba unleashed a screamer off the bar past Nipissings Ryan Miners to increase the Ravens' lead to two.
The Ravens never let up in the second half, outshooting the visiting Lakers 5-0 while adding two more goals to double their lead. After Raphael Garcia (Ottawa, Ont.) scored on a beautiful free kick in the 71st, Piccioli finished off a Devyn Viegas rebound for his fifth goal of the year.
With the win, the Ravens must now regroup quickly ahead of a clash with the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM.
