A home-field clinching goal and a spectacular rushing performance have earned Chloe Doiron and Alex Gayle the Ravens' Athlete of the Week presented by McKeen Metro Glebe.
Women's soccer player Chloe Doiron broke through in the 40th minute of Sunday's contest against Ontario Tech with a crucial goal. Not only did Doiron's plan prove to be the game-winner, it ensured that the Ravens would play a home playoff game for the second consecutive season, a feat that hasn't been accomplished in over a decade. Doiron's four goals and six points led the Ravens in the regular season.
The rain didn't slow down Ravens running back Alex Gayle. Making his first start as a Raven Gayle rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown. Prior to Saturday's performance Gayle's high with Carleton had been 81 yards, a total he set in the Panda Game. With the Ravens come-from-behind win the Ravens now travel to Windsor for a playoff matchup powered by TAAG.
