Waterloo, Ont. - The Carleton Ravens men's and women's golf teams have qualified for the OUA Championships in two weeks following a strong showing this weekend.
Veteran golfer Ty Rouse had a career day on day one of the UW-WLU 37 Hole Invitational scoring a 68 to take an early lead. In day two Rouse stayed hot, locking down the tournament victory with a two-day score of -7.
The Ravens men's team finished 8th in the tournament, good enough to qualify for the OUA Championship in two weeks' time.
On the women's side, Claire Stoney led the way as the Carleton women finished 6th qualifying for the OUA Championship. Stoney shot a combined 156 finishing six strokes back of the winner Mia Sung of Toronto. Raven Lucy Garavito barely missed cracking the top fifteen after starting the tournament with a personal best score of 80.
