Kingston, Ont. - The Carleton Ravens men's hockey team remains .500 on the season after splitting their first road weekend of the season.
On Friday night, the Carleton Ravens needed a shootout to beat a pesky RMC Paladins team. Trailing by two midway through the second period, Carleton rallied back on goals by Alex Johnston and Keiran each scored to force overtime and the eventual shootout. After Keiran Craig opened the scoring in a shootout, and Mark Grametbauer stopped 37 of 39 shots for the win.
Saturday night, the Queen's Gaels struck quickly, scoring twice in 35 seconds midway through the second period. Building out to a 3-2 lead before icing it midway through the third to extend the lead the Gaels shut the door the rest of the way with Aidan Spooner being sharp when tested.
Carleton now returns home on Friday night when they host the Waterloo Warriors at the Carleton Ice House.
