The Carleton Ravens swim team hosted uOttawa and Waterloo for a Tri-Meet at the Carleton Pool on October 14. This was the first Ravens meet for 12 Carleton rookies! It was a packed afternoon of racing with some impressive swims.Carleton was in tough racing against two of the top teams in Eastern Canada. The point scores were:
Carleton’s top swimmer on the men’s side was Finn Tuck who won both the 50m backstroke (27.40) and 100m backstroke (58.41). The top woman was Dina Egorov who placed second in the 50m freestyle (27.80).
Finn Tuck scored a total of 23 points. Two rookies, Jack (Zheng Qi) Lu and Declan McGroarty rounded out the top three male Carleton point scorers with 7 and 6 points, respectively.
On the women’s side, Dina Egorov had 9 points. She was followed by rookie Joanne Patry with 7 points, and women’s team co-captain Qiana Englert with 6 points.
