OTTAWA - After a stunning draw less than 24 hours before, the Carleton Ravens women's soccer team bounced back in emphatic fashion on Sunday afternoon, beating the TMU Bold 2-1.
After a Ravens penalty kick was turned aside in the first minute, Selena Moussa ripped a loose ball into the box into an unguarded goal for an early lead. Before the half was out, Ava Mills would head a Selena Moussa freekick over Abby Harrison's head for the eventual winning goal.
The Bold would cut the lead to one before the end of the half but would get no closer. Chloe Lachance-Soulard made three saves in the second half while TMU would commit nine fouls as the Carleton Ravens improved to 5-2-3, one point up on UofT in the final home playoff spot with two games to play and a game in hand.
The Ravens now face Trent and Ontario Tech on the road next weekend to wrap up the regular season campaign.
