Oshawa, Ont. - The Carleton Ravens women's soccer team will host a home playoff game for the second consecutive season following a 2-0 win at Ontario Tech on Sunday.
The Ravens continue to gain ground in the OUA having not appeared in back-to-back playoffs in almost a decade.
After a difficult loss on the road Saturday where the Ravens were held scoreless, Carleton wasted little time opening the scoring on Sunday. Sophmore Chloe Doiron continued her strong play scoring her fourth goal and second game-winner five minutes before half.
Halfway through the second half, the Ravens would receive a brace and boost in confidence as Lauren Illman found herself alone with the Ridgebacks keeper and made no mistake. Lauren's powerful finish gave the Ravens their sixth win of the season.
In goal, Chloe Lachance-Soulard recorded her fourth clean sheet of the campaign - good for third in the OUA.
Carleton will now welcome the UofT Varsity Blues to campus on Wednesday, with game time to be confirmed. Carleton will take the pitch with a near-perfect 5-0-1 record at home.
