OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens will need to wait a little longer to find some breathing room in the OUA standings after a late goal saw them draw 1-1 with Ontario Tech on Saturday.
In the first half, the Ridgebacks came out aggressive, looking to set pace and tone against the hosts. However, with significant playoff implications on the line, Carleton and Ontario Tech both settled into a very safe, back-and-forth game for most of the first half. The two teams would exchange a few chances but neither team could break the deadlock.
Early into the second half however the tide would change. After earning a series of free kicks Carleton would jump on transition as Chloe Doiron found Mikayla Moser in the box for the opening goal in the 55th minute for the lead. Moser’s third goal of the season looked to be the game-winner until a loose ball in the box found its way to an open Ridgeback who tied the game just before extra time.
The Ravens need to rebound quickly from any disappointment felt after Saturday's draw as they host TMU on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
