OTTAWA - A pair of new Ravens have claimed their first awards as members of the hockey program. Women’s goaltender Caitlin Whitehead and men’s rookie forward Reese Belton have been named Athlete of the Week presented by McKeen Metro Glebe.
The Ravens transfer from the NCAA continues to shine in goal. Over the weekend Whitehead stopped 64 of 67 shots faced as the Ravens split their road weekend. On Friday night, Whitehead stopped 17 of 18 before stopping 47 of 49 shots faced on Sunday afternoon.
Ravens rookie Reese Belton continues to establish himself as a complete threat in the OUA. The h gritty rookie, from Tri-City in the WHL, now has six goals on the season after tallying in back-to-back nights.
