TORONTO - The Carleton Ravens men's hockey team continued their difficult month of November on Friday night, suffering a 5-3 loss to the TMU Bold.
The Ravens fell behind early in the first when Kevin Gursoy scored on the rebound to give TMU an early lead, but Carleton responded immediately off the face-off as Parker AuCoin ripped a shot from the high slot past Kai Edmonds to tie the game.
Carleton would take the lead before the end of the period as Brogan O'Brien scored his first of the season deflecting an Aaron Boyd pass for a power-play goal. Carleton's lead wouldn't last long after the intermission as TMU scored twice in the opening eight minutes of the second to take the lead.
Boyd would get his second point of the night before the end of the period when he and Reese Belton both put on a show in transition undressing all six TMU players to tie it up at three after 40 minutes.
Ryan Wells would score his first of the regular season for the Bold just under five minutes into the third and Gursoy would add his second of the night late in the period capping off any hope of a Ravens combeback.
Carleton now travels to Nipissing where they'll play the Lakers on Saturday night before returning home to finish 2023 with a pair of games next Friday and Saturdya.
