OTTAWA - Jenna Morais overtime goal gave the Ravens women's hockey team their second win in as many days on Saturday night.
Morais's one-timer while the Ravens had a 5-on-3 power play in double overtime was her third goal of the weekend as the Burlington forward was red hot for the Ravens.
Carleton trailed early but fought back in the second period as Jenna Morais worked her way into the Gee-Gees zone and unloaded a heavy wrister short side above the pad to tie the game.
The two teams would trade chances through the second and third periods, with Caitlin Whitehead continuing to impress in goal. Then, after drawing a pair of power plays in overtime, the Ravens began the second overtime on a 5-on-3 power play.
As the Ravens moved the puck around the offensive zone, Payton Miller fed Morais on the left face-off dot where she let go a quick wrist shot beating the Gee-Gees goaltender far-side high above the glove for the victory.
The Ravens and Gee-Gees have now split their first two meetings this season, with a third meeting upcoming at the 2023 Colonel By Classic on Sunday, November 19 at TD Place.
