OTTAWA - After a perfect 4-for-4 weekend at home, Carleton Ravens basketball has now swept the Athlete of the Week awards as presented by McKeen Metro Glebe. Ravens Kyana-Jade Poulin and Marjok Okado earned awards for their efforts over the weekend at the Ravens' Nest.
Poulin opened the Ravens' weekend with 14 points and two assists on Friday night while shooting 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. On Saturday night, Poulin was in full control with three steals and four rebounds while generating five assists in 25 minutes of play.
Marjok (MJ) Okado led the Ravens down the stretch on Friday night scoring a team-high eight points in the fourth quarter including two clutch threes to push the Ravens past the visiting Nipissing Lakers. Okado's key play carried into Saturday, scoring six of his thirteen points on two big threes in the third quarter. The pair of deep balls helped the Ravens overcome foul trouble and come from behind to beat the Laurentian Voyageurs.
