The puck will drop on the second half of the OUA men's hockey season on Thursday night when the Carleton Ravens host the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
The Ravens are 0-2 against the Gee-Gees on the season, having dropped a pair of back-to-back games earlier in the year. But the Ravens have since found a rhythm, bouncing back after a five-game losing streak in November to finish 2023 strong.
Kieran Craig and Parker Aucoin will lead the Ravens into 2024, both having scored 10 goals in the first half of the season. Aucoin is quickly climbing up the Ravens' scoring list, now a goal back of former captain Joey Manley for 7th all-time.
The Gee-Gees are led offensively by Luka Verrault and his 9 goals and 12 assists in the season's first 17 games.
The must-watch matchup of the evening won't come up front though, it will take place in goal where the Ravens' Mark Grametbauer will almost certainly face off against Franky Lapenna. Both goaltenders are sporting save percentages over .900 with Lapenna second in Canada with a sparkling .943.
