MONTREAL - The Carleton Ravens were unable to overcome a three-goal second period by the Concordia Stingers on Saturday night losing 6-3 on the road.
The Ravens opened the scoring in the matchup when Brogran O'Brien got on the board. O'Brien's goal came off a feed from Majid Kaddoura who's now one point behind his rookie tally of 11. The Ravens' lead would hold up for 11 minutes before a too-many-men penalty led to a Sean Larochelle tally. But Garrett Wright would get his first since October 27, to regain the lead before the break.
After opening the scoring in the first ninety seconds of the second, the Stingers would gain go on a five-on-three and make the Ravens pay before adding a second goal before the end of the power play to make it 3-2.
The Stingers' fourth powerplay goal of the evening would extend the lead to 4-2 early in the third as Nicholas Girouard scored the eventual game-winner. Oliver Castleman's third of the season, also on the powerplay would cut into the lead but the Ravens' could get no closer dropping a difficult 6-3 loss.
