The Carleton Ravens women's basketball team will once again take part in Shoot for the Cure, joining the 17th annual campaign to battle breast cancer this Friday.
After U SPORTS announced in early January a $100,000 campaign fundraising goal in support of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS).
Carleton will host the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday night with the opening tip scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The 14-1 Ravens are first in the OUA and currently rank second in the U SPORTS Top 10. Carleton is coming off a 71-38 win at Algoma and has won eight straight at home dating back to last February.
Organized since 2007 in collaboration with the U SPORTS Women’s Basketball Coaches' Association, the fundraising initiative raises money for the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) – and other related local and provincial charities – to help fight breast cancer.
The 2023-24 U SPORTS women’s basketball breast cancer fundraising campaign will offer virtual and in-person events between January 17-28, 2024 and boasts the participation of U SPORTS women’s basketball programs from across the four conferences.
