Tickets to the Ravens' Nest have been hard to come by this season, and with the play of the women's basketball team it's easy to see why. The Ravens played well in front of two large crowds this weekend, notching a program-record 61-point victory on Friday night over Ontario Tech before beating the fourth-ranked Queen's Gaels 73-68 in front of a sold-out Nest on Saturday.
On Friday, the number two ranked Ravens welcome Megan McCarter, Sophie Milner and the Nipissing Lakers. The 2-9 Lakers are coming off a 66-47 loss to Lakehead and are currently 16th in the OUA in scoring averaging just 56.8 points per game. Despite their struggles, McCarter and Milner have both averaged over 12 points per game to help the Lakers. Carleton will want to establish their shots early, the Lakers have allowed visiting teams to shoot 36.7%.
On Saturday, the Laurentian Voyageurs visit the Ravens' Nest after winning back-to-back games. The 4-7 Voyageurs are scrappy and find their way to the line more than almost anyone in the OUA averaging 24.3 free throw attempts per game. For the 11-1 Ravens, the offense has been plentiful this season, with Carleton's 962 points being top in the OUA. The team is averaging 80.2 points per game, while also leading the OUA in rebounds with an 18.1 rebound per game margin.
