OTTAWA - Nordic skiing is in top form heading into the OUA Championships this month, claiming several medals at Easterns this weekend. Among the standouts were Helen McCulligh and Devon Pegrum, named Ravens Athlete of the Week honours presented by McKeen Metro Glebe.
Second-year racer Helen McCulligh cleaned up the podium claiming three first-place finishes including the Women's Sprint, the 5km and the 10km skate races.
With a podium finish in the men's 10km race, Devon Pegrum led a strong showing by the Ravens men's team. The fifth-year engineering student finished third in the 10km while also reaching the top 10 in the 6km and the sprints.
