The Carleton Ravens kicked off their final weekend of the 2023-24 regular season knocking off the ranked Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 84-66 before [Queen's Result]
The Ravens now set their sets on the 2024 Wilson Cup playoffs, which open on Wednesday night when the Ravens host an OUA first-round matchup.
Aubrey Dorey-Havens tied a career-high on Friday night scoring 24 points as the Ravens controlled the play against the Ridgebacks for much of the night. The effort is one of the ten best single-game scoring performances with a Ravens rookie tying him, once again, with Lloyd Pandi and Phil Scrubb.
Dorey-Havens was joined offensively on Friday night by Xavier Spencer, the fellow guard's 14 points helped him close in on the Ravens' single-season rookie scoring record, leaving him just 14 points back of the program record. Augustas Brazdeikis wasn't to be outdone, keeping pace with Dorey-Havens in the Ravens' top ten rookie performances scoring a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Carleton dominated the glass against the athletic Ridgebacks winning 50 of 78 rebounds.
The Ravens didn't have the same success on Saturday night. Trailing the Gaels for most of the evening, Carleton would close the gap to single digits multiple times in the second half, but couldn't catch the Gaels who had built a strong first-half lead. Marjok Okado led all Ravens with 19 points while Xavier Spencer scored 11 points finishing second all-time for points in a season by a Ravens' rookie.
The Ravens will now host the Brock Badgers on Wednesday night, with a tentative start time of 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the OUA first-round matchup are on sale now.
