The Carleton Ravens men's basketball team's road to the Wilson Cup begins on Wednesday night when they host the Brock Badgers at 8:00 p.m.
Carleton finished the regular season by going 8-4 in 2024, including winning three straight in February before losing to Queen's on Saturday. The Ravens' only losses in 2024 came to teams ranked in the U SPORTS Top 10, Ontario Tech, Laurier, Ottawa and Queen's. Brock enters the playoffs having won three straight, despite having a 5-6 record in 2024.
The 11-11 Baders finished fourth in the Central despite scoring the division's least points with 1664. Defensively, Brock was one of the OUA's best teams allowing only 74.3 points per game - 0.1 points better than Carleton.
Carleton will look to take the game inside to have success over the Badgers. Carleton led the OUA in rebounds on the season with 43.6 per game, good for sixth in U SPORTS. Brock was fifth in the OUA but trailed Carleton by 5 with 38.6. The biggest difference could be inside Brock's halfcourt where Carleton is third in the country in offensive rebounds per game, while the Badgers are 29th in defensive rebounding.
