OTTAWA (Feb. 29, 2024) - Parker AuCoin is taking full advantage of his second run in pro hockey in a town of under a quarter-million people.
After graduating from the WHL in 2019, Aucoin travelled to Orlando where he appeared in two ECHL games. Five seasons later, he's making the most of his next opportunity. After recording assists on back-to-back nights to debut with the Idaho Steelheads, Parker now has seven points in six games, including scoring his first professional goal in the first period of last Friday's game at Tulsa.
AuCoin isn't alone in the ECHL, after scoring 49 points in 49 games as a Raven, Kieran Craig has signed with the Florida Everblades earlier this week. While Craig is yet to make his ECHL debut, defenseman Lukash Matthews was the first Ravens player to sign when the season ended. He's now appeared in three games with the Montreal Canadiens affiliate the Trois-Rivières Lions and is a +2.
The Ravens have a significant history of promoting players to professional hockey, Nathan Todd currently tods the list, with 44 points in 52 games for the AHL's San Jose Barracuda. Former captain Alexandre Boivin is playing in the Asia League for Tohoku while six other Ravens are in the ECHL.
