Carleton Ravens women's basketball head coach Dani Sinclair has been named OUA Coach of the Year. Sinclair led the Ravens to a 21-1 record in the regular season, finishing first in the OUA.
Sinclair's top-ranked offence led the country in scoring with 1774 points while averaging over 80 points per game. The Ravens also held their opponents under 50 points on 12 occasions while limiting opponents to a league-low 30.8% shooting.
The top-seeded Ravens lost only one game in the regular season, before stringing off a 12-game winning streak to enter the playoffs. Carleton went 12-0 at home in 2022-23 completing the program's first undefeated home regular season since the team's first U SPORTS championship in 2017-18.
Ravens guards also received honours on Wednesday with Kali Pocrnic and Tatyanna Burke being named conference all-stars. For the third straight season, Kali Pocrnic was named a First Team All-Star, earning all-star honours in all four of her playing seasons. The defending U SPORTS Championship MVP led the Ravens with 332 points, bringing her career total over the 1,000-point mark.
Returning from a year of academic exchange, Tatyanna Burke earned her second appearance on the OUA's second team. The 2021-22 All-Star and defensive player of the year, returned to the Carleton roster this season and collected a career-high 173 rebounds and 234 points generating 34 steals and 11 blocks.
