Under the leadership of Head Coach Nico Belisle, Carleton finished in 8th place on the men’s side, and in a tie for 9th for the women.
The meet highlight was finals swims by Finn Tuck in all four of his events. He won bronze medals in 100m backstroke and 200m Individual Medley, as well as fourth places in 200m freestyle and 200m backstroke. He has now qualified for U Sports in seven events! He will be Carleton’s only representative at the U Sports Championships in Montreal in three weeks.
There were many best times by both rookies and veterans, and with only one graduating swimmer that bodes well for next season!
The women’s team was much smaller this year and scored 68 points compared to last year’s 122 points (8th). In 2022 they scored 184 (6th), and in 2020 the total was 64 (10th).
The men earned 176 points, very close to last year’s 181 points (7th). In 2022 they scored 258.5 (5th), and 116 in 2020 (9th).
