The Ravens' final games in the RSEQ are proving to be incredibly important. As coach Stacey Colarossi's club heads out on their final regular season trip to Lennoxville, Carleton is on the precipice of returning to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade.
After snapping a six-game winless streak last Saturday at McGill, the Ravens will need to slow down one of the hottest offences in the country at Bishop's. The Gaiters have scored the fourth-most goals per game in Canada, netting 3.35 per outing this season. Though the Gaiter's have had firepower, Carleton has kept up well, scoring 9 goals in their previous four meetings. Discipline will play a major factor on Friday as the Gaiters have held Carleton to 10.5% on the power play so far in 2023-24 while going to work with the advantage for an impressive 31.6% efficiency.
Things won't get any easier for Carleton on Sunday when they welcome Montreal to the Ice House. The Carabins, led by Marie Terriault, are two points back of Bishop's for home-ice advantage in what will likely be a first-round meeting between the two teams. Carleton has split the season series with Montreal to this point winning 2-0 and 5-2, but having dropped the most recent meeting 5-1.
While the Ravens will be focused on the action on the ice, eyes will also be on the out-of-town scoreboard this weekend as Ottawa travels to Montreal on Friday before travelling to Concordia on Sunday.
