It's a massive night at the Carleton Ice House on Friday night when the Carleton Ravens women's hockey team hosts the Ottawa Gee-Gees. With the final RSEQ playoff spot hanging in the balance, the Ravens need a win to keep their playoff drive alive.
Carleton enters the game five points behind the Gee-Gees with an opportunity to close the gap with a game in hand. Head-to-head the Gee-Gees lead 3-0-1 this season, with the Ravens' lone win coming back in November at the Minto Sportsplex.
The Gee-Gees are led in scoring by Alyssa Biesenthal, the third-year forward has seven goals and 12 points this season. Cecelia Lopez continues to lead the Ravens in scoring while rookie defending Payton Miller now has 8 points on the season.
Carleton's youth has stepped up big in recent games, as Ava Beck now has four goals to tie Lopez and Jenna Morais for the team lead.
The Ravens and Gee-Gees collide on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
