OTTAWA (Mar. 27, 2024) - Ahead of tomorrow's Varsity Banquet the Carleton Ravens have announced the nominees for the 2024 Male Athlete of the Year award.
The major criterion of the award recipient is outstanding athletic ability during the current year in Carleton's inter-university program. In addition, contributions towards the athletic program at Carleton University are considered for this award.
A Second Team All-Canadian and First Team OUA All-Star, Louis Lavaud was a force at corner for the Carleton Ravens. Lavaud also represented Carleton at the 2024 CFL National Combine in Winnipeg.
Early in the OUA pre-season, Rouse won three straight tournaments while building a season average score of -2. At the OUA Championships, while battling a terrible flu, Rouse managed a two-day score of +7.
An OUA silver medalist, Colin Ward earned individual silver and bronze medals. For his efforts, the Ravens' veteran was named a 2024 OUA All-Star.
A dominant force in the OUA playoffs, Piccioli led the OUA with three goals and one assist in three games. The midfielders play helped the Ravens capture the OUA Championship before earning him the honour of being the third player selected in the 2024 CPL Draft.
