The Carleton Ravens women's Nordic Ski team has won the 2024 Nordique Canada CCUNC Championships. In a competition shortened to three events due to warm weather, the Ravens soared to the top of the national stage capturing three individual medals.
Not only were the Ravens a force in university competition, but the student-athletes from Carleton challenged Canada's very best skiers with five top-ten overall finishes in the three races.
The Ravens were led by sensational skiing from Helen McCulligh. The U20 sensation medalled in all three CCUNC races winning the 15km interval start and finishing second in the 10km race and third in the 1.3km sprints.
The Ravens' efforts were most impressive in the sprints where three members of the Carleton team placed in the overall top-ten with Katherine Mason in fifth, Maggie McClure in 8th and McCulligh in 10th.
The Ravens previously captured the CCUNC Women's Championship in 2018.
