OTTAWA (Mar. 1, 2024) - The Carleton Ravens will look to go back-to-back as Critelli Cup champions when they host the Queen's Gaels in the OUA Finals on Saturday night.
With a limited number of tickets released and quickly snapped up on Friday afternoon, a capacity crowd is anticipated in the Ravens' Nest when Carleton face Queen's for the second straight year. In 2023, with the Wilson Cup raging on the Nest', the women's basketball team visited the ARC in Kingston and cam away with a 70-57 victory.
On Saturday, another close game is expected between the team OUA East Rivals. Carleton has taken the last five matchups, most recently meeting on the final night of the regular season with Carleton winning 70-63.
It will be no easy task for the Ravens. The Gaels are a veteran group with plenty of experience having reached both the Critelli Cup and U SPORTS championship games last season.
With both teams having already clinched the U SPORTS Final 8, this is about more than a shot at Nationals, this rivalry has run deep over the past few seasons and Saturday surely won't disappoint.
