OTTAWA (May 13, 2024) - It's been a busy week of football for the Carleton Ravens as four players represented the program in the 2024 East-West Bowl while 11 Ravens have attended CFL training camps.
The name of Kaseem Ferdinand (Kanata, Ont.) jumped off the stat sheet following the 2024 East-West Bowl at the University of Waterloo. The wideout's name sits in an unusual box, listed with a 32-yard pass, something we saw Kaseem do during the 2023 season. Ferdinand also had one catch for 6 yards and 3 punt returns for 11 yards with a long of 7.
Defensively Xavier Malone led all players in the game with 7 tackles, including 5 solo tackles. Nathan Clark recorded 1.5 tackles, including one for a three-yard loss.
Angus O'Mara also suited up at centre, rounding out the Ravens participation in the weeks events. Team West won the annual event 16-1.
Professionally, Carleton Ravens arrived at four training camps across the CFL this weekend, with strong flocks of Ravens in Toronto and Ottawa.
In Ottawa, veterans Keaton Bruggeling (WR), Michael Domagala (K), Kene Onlyeka (DL) and Justin Howell (DB) are all back in camp at TD Place. Down the 401 the Ravens are taking over Toronto's defensive room. Tunde Adeleke (DB) is the newest face in double-blue joining Jonathan Edouard (DB), Jack Cassar (LB) and recent draft pick Ifenna Onyeka (DL).
Out west, Joachim Christian (DB) is in camp with the Calgary Stampeders while draft pick Patrick Lavoie (OL) is in Edmonton. Free agent signing Hunter Brown (WR) also attended the Elks rookie camp.
