OTTAWA (June 21, 2024) - Carleton Ravens goalkeeper Chloé Lachance-Soulard has earned Carleton's University Medal in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Cognitive Science in the Spring 2024 Convocation.
Lachance-Soulard (Ottawa, Ont.) completes her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Cognitive Science Honours, a concentration in the Biological Foundations of Cognition, a minor in Computer Science and a Co-operative Education designation. All this, while helping lead the Carleton Ravens women's soccer team to back-to-back home playoff appearances over the last two seasons.
A member of the Varsity Council in Carleton Athletics, Lachance-Soulard plays a key role in the department's community initiatives as a leader of the annual Toy Drive campaign and Bell Let's Talk Dodgeball Tournament for mental health.
"The Carleton Cognitive Science program has allowed me to learn so much about myself and to explore new passions," Chloé told the Department of Cognitive Science.
Chloé is helping to carry on a tradition of academic excellence on the women's soccer team. In 2022-23 16 members of the roster earned Academic All-Canadian status, leading all Ravens U SPORTS teams.
In the fall, Lachance-Soulard will return to Carleton, and the Ravens, while pursuing a Master of Cognitive Science under the supervision of Dr. Chris Herdman.
