OTTAWA (July 5, 2024) - Carleton Ravens Nordic skier Bronwyn Williams has earned Carleton's University Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement, Psychology.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Honours, Psychology with High Distinction, Williams caps off a marvellous academic year that also saw her and her teammates capture the OUA and CCUNC championships.
A member of the infamous Williams Nordic ski family, Williams has overcome significant challenges and injuries in her time at Carleton overcoming all obstacles to achieve incredible success.
Williams is helping to carry on a tradition of academic excellence at Carleton. In 2022-23, 18 Nordic skiers, including 9 members of the women's team, were named OUA Academic All-Stars. In total, 27% of all Carleton Ravens student-athletes in the OUA achieved Academic All-Star status in 2022-23.
