OTTAWA (Oct. 31, 2024) - Carleton Ravens women's soccer goalkeeper Chloe Lachance-Soulard was named the OUA East Community Service Award winner on Tuesday afternoon. The conference also announced that Ravens Quinn Snell, Mikayla Moser and Lauren Illman were named Second Team All-Stars.
Lachance-Soulard of Ottawa is a stand-out both on and off the pitch leading the Ravens in goal while also excelling in the classroom and community. A five-time Academic All-Canadian and winner of the 2024 University Medal in Cognitive Science is a major part of the Carleton athletics community. She is an active member of Varsity Council and organizing community events to support Bell Let's Talk, and the annual Varsity Council Toy Drive during the holidays. Chloe is also a mainstay in the Junior Ravens program providing coaching to younger players in our community.
"Chloe's dedication to community service exemplifies the true spirit of leadership." said Ravens' head coach Dominic Oliveri. "Winning the OUA Community Service Award is a testament to her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others."
Defender Quinn Snell earned her second team award with a breakout season. The Courtice, Ontario, back started in all 12 games for the Ravens scoring a career high four goals.
Moving up the pitch, Ravens captain Mikayla Moser third season was also her best yet. The Ajax criminology student had three goals and two assists for Carleton while playing a key central role.
At the front, striker Lauren Illman bounced back in a big way after playing much of 2023 injured. The Whitby attacker played a central role in the Ravens attack scoring six goals and adding two assists while being a constant threat on set pieces.
