OTTAWA (October 1, 2024) - The Carleton Ravens look poised and ready for a strong showing at this weekend's OUA Championship in Windsor, Ontario after an impressive display in three competitions over the weekend.
On the men's side, Ty Rouse (Carp, Ont.) was the top Raven finding his way into the top five of both the two-day Waterloo/Laurier Invitational and the Guelph Invitational on Monday. Rouse's two-day score of 143 at the Laurier/Waterloo Golf Invitational saw him finish T4 while his 74 at Cutten Fields on Monday was good for T5 just two strokes behind the winner.
Rouse was joined at T5 on Monday by his brother Dylan in a crowd of seven golfers to shoot 74. The Rouse brothers helped Carleton to a team fifth place finish with a score of 307.
On Monday, rookie Sanvi Swarup was the Ravens top women's finisher. Swarup's 79 was good for a T6 finish. Over the weekend Swarup and Stoney tied at T11 with scores of 162. Together, the two helped the Carleton women come in fifth at the two day Waterloo Invitational.
The women's side showed a far improved performance on Monday coming in 8 back of Queen's in T3 with a team score of 244.
The Ravens now travel South where they'll compete in the OUA Championship at the Ambassador GC in Windsor, Ontario this weekend.
