Ravens basketball are at home on Friday night to Algoma before heading South to Brock on Sunday. The Ravens are 5-0 on both the men's and women's side and looking to continue their climb up the U SPORTS Top 10. The #7 men improved two spots after a convincing win over York last weekend. The two-time defending OUA and U SPORTS champion women moved up one spot to #6.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early on Friday night. Before the women's game tips off members of the 2023-24 U SPORTS championship team will receive their Championship rings.
On Sunday, the Ravens head to Brock for a major rivalry game. The men's squad will be looking for revenge on their 2024 playoff loss to the Badgers, while the women reacquaint themselves with an old foe. Tip off for the Sunday doubleheader on OUA.tv is 1:00 PM.
After finishing their Kingston road trip with a 6-2 win over RMC last weekend, the Carleton Ravens welcome York to the Ice House for a 6:00 PM start on Friday. The Ravens sit a point ahead of the Lions in the OUA playoff race and three points behind McGill for the final playoff spot. The 2-7 Lions handed Ontario Tech their second loss of the season two weeks ago before losing in a shootout to UQTR last weekend.
On Saturday, the Ravens will see RMC at the Ice House. After beating the Paladins at Constantine last weekend, the Ravens will need to prepare for a gritty one against a Paladins team who are among the least penalized teams in the OUA.
After a shootout loss at Brock last Sunday, the Ravens women's hockey team will look to turn some close losses into wins when they travel to Ontario Tech on Friday and Queen's on Saturday afternoon. It's a pivotal weekend for the Ravens who are currently 2 points ahead of Queen's for the fifth and final playoff spot in the East, but have played one more game.
The Ravens have points in three of their last six games but have taking losses in five straight, four by 2 or less. At 17 goals for, the Ravens find themselves in the middle of the OUA in scoring. Facing two of the weaker penalty kills in the OUA, the young Ravens will hope to improve on their slow start on the power play if they want to build some space in the standings.
