OTTAWA (Nov. 7, 2024) - Carleton Ravens standouts Ifenna Onyeka and Kaseem Ferdinand lead a group of five all-stars named by the OUA on Thursday.
Ferdinand and Onyeka were named to the conference's First Team while Tristan Ready and Patrick Lavoie were named to the Second Team. Right tackle Jett Hudson was named to the conference's All-Rookie team.
Onyeka returned to the Ravens after attending the Toronto Argonauts training camp and terrorized opposing offences. The Brampton defensive end led the nation in sacks (9), sack yards (61) and tackles for loss (12).
Kaseem Ferdinand continued to be a game-breaker for the Ravens finishing third in the OUA in receiving yards (645) while hauling in six touchdowns on 42 catches. The former Kanata Knights player also returned 14 punts for 164 yards surpassing 800 all-purpose yards for the second straight season.
Second Team All-Star Tristan Ready was second in the OUA in receiving yards (704) and receptions (47) averaging 88.0 yards per game. Ready more than doubled his career-high in receiving yards while adding 246 yards on 12 punt returns.
Patrick Lavoie returned to the Ravens line-up after time at the Edmonton Elks line-up and became an instant lock on the weak side for Elijah Barnes. Playing left tackle for the southpaw Barnes, Lavoie was a stalwart for the Ravens who brought stability and consistency to a young line.
All-Rookie Jett Hudson earned a spot on the Ravens line out of training camp and proved himself to be a force throughout the season. The 6'5" Hudson and his signature glasses have a bright future at TAAG Park, the same field Hudson won an OSSAA Championship with St. Joseph's in 2023.
