The final home weekend of the fall will see the women's basketball team tip off against the West Division leading Guelph Gryphons (6-1) on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
The Gryphons have rhymed off six straight wins since an opening night loss at Brock, including wins over Queen's and TMU. Coming off a single road game last weekend at Lakehead, a rested Gryphons team will arrive at the Nest ready to battle. It's a three-guard attack for the Gryphons and Julia Colavecchia, Hannah Bourdon and Renee Armstrong carry most the of load all scoring over 10 points per game.
On Saturday, the 7-1 McMaster Marauders will come to town already well proven on the road. Ahead of this weekend's trip to Ottawa, Mac is 3-1 on the road with wins over Western and Lakehead twice. The highest scoring team in the OUA behind only the Ravens, Mac will need to be sharp in their shooting against a Ravens team who are second in the OUA in rebound margin.
