OTTAWA (Nov. 25, 2024) - The Carleton Ravens men's and women's basketball teams continue to climb the U SPORTS Top 10 with the women improving to #4 and the men claiming the #5 spot.
The Ravens women's team (9-0) are one of two undefeated teams left in the country and lead U SPORTS in points per game (77.9) and rebound margin per game (12.7). The Ravens are among the top five in U SPORTS in more than a dozen statistical categories. With two games left before the winter break, the Ravens successfully knocked off division leaders McMaster and Guelph over the weekend behind 69 points from Dorcas Buisa.
On the men's side, Carleton improved to 9-0 with wins against very competitive Guelph and McMaster team's. The Ravens have managed to have a top five offence in the country despite averaging only 14 free throws per game. The low number of trips to the line is with Carleton finding themselves 44th out of 48 teams in the country in the category. Carleton continue to find success in the paint, leading U SPORTS in rebounds on both ends of the floor while holding their opponents to the fourth lowest scoring average in the country.
Both Ravens teams have just a single game this weekend when they travel to Lakehead on Saturday night to face the Thunderwolves.
Carleton returns home on Wednesday, December 4 when they host the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Red Night!
