The pipeline between Carleton’s High Performance Centre and Bobsled Canada Skeleton continues to grow with the naming of the 2024 National Bobsleigh Program team roster.
Carleton Ravens rugby player Charlotte Ross was officially named to the roster on Wednesday joining former Ravens football players Keaton Bruggeling and Jay Dearborn in the program. Ross, who appeared in four games for Carleton this season scoring two tries. She will join Olympian Kristen Bujnowski's sled on the brakes.
Bruggeling returns to Pat Norton's sled which includes Olympian Mike Evelyn. The RedBlacks wide receiver has quickly been gaining more time in the sled since joining the program.
After pushing in the Beijing 2020 Winter Olympic, Jay Dearborn moves over to the development program where he continues to train as a driver. A former member of the Saskatchewan Rougriders, Dearborn first earned the attention of Bobsled Canada Skeleton with him impressive CFL Combine results. Dearborn played three seasons in the CFL last appearing with Hamilton in 2023.
