OTTAWA (Nov. 18, 2024) - After picking up a pair of wins each over the weekend the Carleton Ravens men's and women's basketball teams have moved up the U SPORTS Top 10.
The defending back-to-back U SPORTS champion women's team have improved to fifth in the Top 10 with a perfect 7-0 record. The Ravens became the last undefeated team in the OUA when they beat Brock on Sunday. Jacqueline Urban earned her second Athlete of the Week award after putting up back-to-back double-doubles including 21 points and 14 rebounds against the Baders.
The men's team moved up to 6th in the Top 10 gaining one spot from last week. After knocking off Algoma by 43 points and Brock by 29 the young Ravens are flying high as the lone undefeated team in the OUA East. With impressive depth the Ravens had four double-digit scores each night this weekend - led by back-to-back 20+ point performances by Augustas Brazdeikis.
The Ravens are home this weekend when they welcome Guelph on Friday before hosting the first Teddy Bear Toss game on Saturday when the McMaster Marauders visit the Nest.
