OTTAWA (Nov. 4, 2024) - After starting the 2024-25 season 4-0 the Carleton Ravens men's and women's basketball teams have earned U SPORTS Top 10 rankings.
The defending back-to-back U SPORTS champion women find themselves ranked seventh in the opening polls, after dropping no lower than second in 2023-24. The OUA leaders in offensive rebounds per game (19.0) and rebound margin (+16.5), the Ravens are led by Jacqueline Urban. The Ancaster, Ontario, guard and 2023 U SPORTS rookie of the year is averaging 10.0 rebounds and 13.0 points per game.
On the men's side, the Ravens return to the U SPORTS Top 10 for the first time since falling out of the rankings at the holiday break last season. The 4-0 Ravens are tops in the OUA in offensive efficiency (1.101) and lead the conference in three-point percentage (40.0%). The Ravens have also picked up on their success off the glass from last season, leading the OUA in rebound margin at +14.
The Carleton Ravens return home this weekend when they host the York Lions on Sunday, November 10, at 6 and 8 PM.
