OTTAWA - Members of the Carleton Ravens women's basketball program captured silver at the recent FISU University World Cup 3X3 Basketball tournament in Xiamen, China.
The reigning FISU America's champions swept their round robin play before knocking off both fellow FISU America's clubs from Mexico in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
Jacqueline Urban, Teresa Donato, Kyana-Jade Poulin and Kinly Rice represented the program in only the team's second international 3X3 competition. Having qualified for the tournament after winning the America's regional in Argentina in May.
Urban, Donato and Poulin will now rejoin the Ravens ahead of their road trip to Lakehead this weekend.
The women's basketball team improved to 9-0 over the weekend with Dorcas Buisa earning OUA Athlete of the Week Honours recording a modern regular season record 38 points on Friday night before dropping 31 on Saturday.
