OTTAWA (Jan. 27, 2025) - It was a solid showing at home for the Carleton Ravens over the weekend with the men's basketball team winning their fourth straight while the women extended their season-long streak to 17 games.
Marjok (MJ) Okado and Kyana-Jade Poulin starred for the teams earning the honour of Athlete of the Week presented by z-teca Mexican Eatery for the week of January 20-26.
After scoring 16 points and adding 3 steals and 2 assists on Friday night, Kyana-Jade Poulin continued her strong play Saturday dropping 20 points while collecting 8 rebounds, 2 steals and adding 3 assists.
With the Ravens missing four regulars from their line-up, MJ Okado stepped offensively for the Ravens scoring 22 points on Friday night before dropping 17 on Saturday. Okado shot 54% from the field over the weekend draining 10 threes.
