Meet Stacey Colarossi – Head Coach of Women’s Ice Hockey at Carleton University.
The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) dropped its first puck in January 2024. And since then, women's ice hockey has been gaining more global attention than ever before.
The sport and league have seen groundbreaking growth — with the PWHL breaking recent attendance records and considering adding two more teams within the six-team league by next season, and Canadian Jessica Campbell becoming the first female coach in National Hockey League (NHL) history last summer.
Women leaders — like Carleton's Stacey Colarossi — are shaping the future of women’s hockey.
Coach Colarossi'scareer spans over 20 years, including a stint coaching at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Games. Joining the Ravens in the summer of 2022, Colarossi’s experiences as a leader in sport have created both local and international impact. As a head coach, she is focused on motivating and inspiring her team to reach their full potential as athletes, students and people.
